Google Wallet Now available on Nexus S 4G on Sprint
The world is on the brink of the next big shift in payments. Stephanie Tilenius, Google's vice-president for commerce and payments, has described Google Wallet as the 'next generation of mobile commerce'.
After months of waiting Google Wallet, presented for the first time in May this year, finally goes live. Google confirms that the payment system has been fully tested and is now ready for public use. Google Wallet is an Android app that turns shoppers’ phones into their wallets, making one-tap payments in-store quick and easy. It also brings together the best of online and offline shopping, which can help companies like yours get more business from more customers and spend less money doing it.
Google Wallet will initially work with the Nexus S 4G smartphone from Sprint and will eventually be supported by more Android phones with NFC chip, a near field communication system in a phone to allow a user to 'tap-and-pay' for purchases at a checkout register equipped with the PayPass system from CitiMasterCard. Shopping is changing, and this is only the beginning.
